Coté Escriva, a graphic artist and illustrator from Valencia, Spain, merges animation and street art culture in his sculptures, paintings, and prints with dark humor.
Through his works, American cartoon characters like Bugs Bunny, Popeye, Snoopy, and Mickey Mouse smile and pose despite their exposed bones and decaying flesh. Based in Valencia, Escrivà has exhibited his art around the world in major cities such as London, Barcelona, Los Angeles, and Singapore, among others.
In addition to his visual art, he also works as a graphic designer and illustrator. Like versatile street artists he considers as influences, including KAWS and Shepard Fairey, Escrivà has also created merchandise such as custom skateboard decks and toys. His style is heavily influenced by American pop culture, street art, and famous cartoons.
Among his works, you can find various mediums such as sculpture, toys, prints, drawings, and murals.
